Ari had a decent night. A little up and down with the dance of weaning him off one med and having to boost another. Made momma very nervous. But he was able to wean off the nitric oxide last night and was weaned off of blood pressure meds this morning. He is not oxygenating as well today but they hope that is an adjustment he can work through.
But....Ari now has a fever. He had been fever free for about 3 days. A fever now is not a good thing. Tylenol has helped reduce it. It started at 102 and is on its way down. They're running tests to find out where the infection is coming from. Could be the pneumonia kicking back up again, could be sepsis, could be an infection from the ventilator. None are good options, but hope to know more soon.
Last night was good for aesthetics. Ari has his own spa mask now (thank you Della) that he adores. "Adores" as in, "don't you f*&$ing even think of taking that off my face." It is nice to have been able to give him something that offers him so much comfort.
On the technical side of things, anyone can leave a comment now. I didn't know there were restrictions on who could leave comments, but there aren't anymore. I'm also trying to get it to where folks can subscribe to the blog. If you have any quick and dirty tips, please message me. I don't need to be sophisticated but just want to make access as easy as possible for everyone.
Love to all,
Dorothy
